I fired up my Spyder Sunday and it was glorious: started right up after four month's slumber, all systems go. Then I got home and noticed some oil in the left rear fender well.

Ah well. I'd been wondering how I got so lucky with my swing axle hubs not leaking. Now I know it just wasn't my turn yet.

This car remains For Sale. It will not be leaking when turned over to the new owner.

Ed, I don't remember exactly which 'after market disc brakes' you've got on the rear, but they look like they might be EMPI's.

If so, they make two different brackets — stamped and cast. The cast ones are available as separate parts.

I had incessant leaks with the stamped brackets (and installed by someone who knows what he's doing — not me, obviously). Switching to the cast ones fixed that for good on both sides.

Guess which ones cost more.
