There should be a thread about this from about 1 1/2 years ago when my clutch cable kept stretching then snapping in two. You will never regret making this upgrade. I think it's essential, especially if you drive your car a lot. My mechanic had to do a little fabrication, but it works great and makes the clutch more predictable and easier to push in. v v
I made the change 6 or so months ago and it's well worth it. I broke the clutch cable 3 times and could road repair it twice, therefore I gave up and went hydralic and I'd never go back.

Hardest thing is attaching the lines at the front of the car, obviously, no room. Drilling the hole for the pedals wasn't too much fun either but not as bad as I thought it would be.

The one thing that I probably would have done differently is to just switch all the pedals out. I left the stock VW throttle and brake assembly and wish I would have just tossed them also.
