Hi All,

As some of may know I sold my FiberFab Suby Speedster last month and am currently without a Speedster. This forum/group/club has been my all time favorite of the many I have been part of over the past 40 years. I plan to stay a member of this group if you will have me. I am currently working on the Monster type 4 Puma and a recently purchased Fiero based GT40 based replica. The GT40 is a very unique build but was never really driven(2400 miles over 19 years) and there are reasons why this is so. It is like the many Speedsters that are offered for sale and have very low miles even though they were built many years prior. The GT40 is in need of some sorting out and that is what I like to do. The car spent the last three weeks at a local shop owned by a friend having a long list of things repaired. New radiator, replaced an old leaking copper one replaced with a new aluminum one designed for a Fiero V8 conversion. The coolant system needed to have the trapped air in the heater core bled out. The turn signals now work and the antiquated Holley commander Fuel injection controller as been remapped. I had the opportunity to drive the car today for an hour or so and it was a blast. I am not sure what the car weighs but the moderately cammed fresh Chevy 355ci engine mated to the Getrag 5 speed really pulls hard and drives nice. The car has tons of rattles which will be the next thing I address. It will seem like a different car once the rattles are sorted which shouldn't be all that hard to do. I hope we have Carlisle this year I would love to come and bring either the Puma or the GT40. I can't wait for spring to get here!

PS I was able to get the GT40's title registered and transferred today and it went smooth and without a hitch which as you all know is a wonderful thing. The car is titled as an 87 Pontiac Fiero and I was transferring an Iowa title into Indiana. I was waiting for the license branch employee that was doing the vin. number check to cause trouble because the car doesn't look anything like a $1200.00 1987 Pontiac Fiero.. Wink wink. But as we all can see that is exactly what it is.
