Hey guys,

I have a t-ranch 550a and it has 4 lug wheels on dic brakes which I guess is pretty standard. However I love the look of the wide 5 wheels. What is the best way to convert? what kind of money am I looking at? Can the wide 5 wheels handle the wide rubber (225/50's) that are on my car now? (I realize that I can't use the same tires but I am hoping to maintain the width)

Thanks for the info.

Cheers, MP

Big problem right now is finding rims. Mangels quit making 5 bolt rims. There are alternatives out there but they too are hard to find.
Unless you can find some used chrome rims, you'll have to settle for painted or powdercoating your new rims. (BTW) silver powdercoated rims looks so much better than chrome.

By the time you swap everything, front and rear, add drum skins, tires/mounting/balancing etc, you're looking at the 2K mark

The second problem you may encounter is axle length. If TR used long axles, then you'll have to have the centers cut from the rear wheels and moved to the outside to change the wheel backspacing. If they used short axles then no problem with your wheel choice.
Harry, no offense towards your car (but you knew that) Your car is unique and it looks great just the way it is...

Personally, I had chrome 5 bolts on my car and maybe I should have said """In my opinion"""" silver powdercoated rims look better than chrome wheels.

The more I see of the silver powder coated wheels the more I like them.
