Matt:
Stock Engine for a '62 is a 6 volt 1200cc 40HP.
If/when you find an engine, Single or Dual Port, it'll probably be 12 volt.
Flywheel/Starter and starter bushing are different on 6 volt. (different no. of teeth and starter bushing larger)
Is your '62 still 6 volt? If so, you'll probably want to update it to 12V, or swap the 12Volt flywheel and clutch assy (200mm) for a 6v flywheel and clutch assy (180mm) if you leave it 6 volt.
The 12V flywheel is larger dia. than the 6volt flywheel. If your tranny started out life as 6volt you'll have to clearance it for the larger dia. 12 Volt flywheel.
Another difference is that the 6 volt flywheel uses a gasket between end of crank and mating surface of flywheel instead of the "O" ring that the 12 volt flywheel uses. End play will also have to be checked and reset (.002 - .006).
