Vintage is as close as your going to get to the real thing. Beck is close enough too. Both Spyders are very well built, but Vintage Spyders are more rare & prestigious and more sought after, and most definately a much higher overall resale value. Vintage 550 Spyders are auctioned out by "Classic Showcase" and RM Auctions for well over $40,000. Visit www.classicshowcase.com for more info.(click on inventory sold & unsold) It will take longer to order a vintage Spyder, but it's worth the wait.

Hey SpyderMike:
It is a fact(not an opinion) that Vintage Spyders are more rare and hold their values higher than Beck Spyders. Simply because there are less of them around. There were only a little over 100 Vintage Spyders ever built. I never stated that Vintage builds a better Spyder than Beck. Both manufacturers build awesome cars. I like a Vintage Spyder better, thats my opinion. I know it bothers you to here me praise the Vintage marque, because you own a Beck. If you owned a Vintage, you would probably be my #1 fan. Good Luck with your Beck Spyder.
Guido,

There are more than 100 Vintage Spyders made - serial numbers are in the 400s now which leads me to belive there might be 400+. I built my own car, so I am the manufacturer. It is the most rare because it is the only one I have built. Those are facts.

I am glad you are happy with your car. I really am. Just don't blow your horn too loud please and show a lttle respect for your Spyder brothers. read - don't bash your potential friends please.

I will now turn into a kinder, gentler SpyderMike. The transformation is complete.

Welcome aboard. Peace brother.

Mike
I'll wager we have other things in common too. I am not just a Spyder fan Guido. Have you seen the Porsche 904 replica that is now available? I have been thinking of that too much lately.

Then there are the nice GT40s available.

Does anyone know of a Ferrari 330/P4 replica out there?

Regards,
Mike

I've cut and pasted the above post from Guido as he has a way of editing posts to remove incriminating evidence.

"SpyderMike, if you want to aquire any type of Ferrari Replica, please contact my personal friend, Mark Turpan. He used to work with Ferrari of North America for many years and has many connections and links to anything dealing with real or replica Ferrari. Mark is a car fanatic and has the largest collection of car books and magazines in the world, as well as a few Vintage Ferraris himself.
He is now working with me at Paul Miller Porsche/Audi as one of my sales consultants . I am the General Manager there. You can call Mark Turpan or myself at (973)575-7750.
Sincerely,
John(Guido)Frattaroli"

Curiosity being my only motivating factor, and the fact that I have an unlimited long distance calling plan, I placed a phone call to the Paul Miller Porsche dealership. (see number above)

Interestingly enough but expected, the Paul Miller Porsche dealership didn't immediately know Guido or John, after a quick look through their company directory, they informed me that John Frattaroli was a SALESMAN at the Audi dealership and not the General Manager of the Porsche store as stated above. (I didn't think to ask if he sold new Audi's or if he was a used car salesman)

I guess we can use our imagination............

I seems that our Buddy Guido, aka John, aka Jo Momma, must have been demoted, because for sure,,, he would never attempt to decieve us, (or would he)??? LOL

Such wonders never cease to amaze mortal man!!!!

ps Murph, watch your back on Friday
Darryll--my Speedster (called NuNu) was a Vintage and had those seats. You might want to drive around in one of the cars for a while first. I think the seats are really comfy. I know you're looking for a certain look, but if you drive the car much (mine was a daily driver), you can't beat the ones Kirk puts in his cars. What a great guy Kirk is, huh? v v
Darrell,
You can see the seats in my Spyder, to me they are comfortable that is if you have an upholstery shop do a little fitting on the sides and cushion to include putting on quality fabric.
For a Speedster, you may think that the back is too low, but in a Speedster, I believe you sit a little higher than in a Spyder.
Fibersteel has a good set of seats to start with.
And Mike thought I came down hard on the boy! Quote---"Yikes" I guess he got bored with us after threats and swearing didn't work. The thing that ticked me off the most was when he called Dominick a donkey. That was just plain uncalled for. I don't think he knew where else some of us reside...... And just think, I'm a V owner also, and I came down on him pretty hard because he deserved it!
"Guido" sure makes a hell of a speaker for Vintage Spyders!
My two cents: both are great products, one of them takes a LOT LONGER to complete, and the process can be VERY PAINFUL.
If you want to suffer, go the "Guido" way, if you want a great product, with no hassle, and no empty promises, give Beck a call.
Thankyou Boss man, but my real name is John, not Guido. Vintage builds an awesome Spyder but so does Beck. Check out e-bay motors, from time to time you may find a fairly new Vintage Spyder for sale at a decent price and you won't have to wait 16 months to get one. Thats how I got mine, through e-bay.
Here is a replica Ferrari that I sold a few months back! It was VERY nice, with the possible exception of the wheels fitted to the car not having the right offset to match the newer body!!

I guess you'll have to cut and paste the above link!! :)
