Intermeccanica (IM) Speedster sports car. Custom built high quality reproduction of a 1958 Porsche 356 A Speedster. Built on a custom steel in-house designed tubular steel perimeter chassis and one-piece composite body. This car was built and delivered in December of 2004. It is registered in the state of California and has one of 500 certificates of SPCN, which makes this car exempt from smog certification for the life of the car. The car has just a little less then 7,000 miles on it. It has always been garaged and never driven in the rain. I have changed the oil and adjusted the valves every 2,000 miles. The car has just had a complete tune up, with new oil, filter, and spark plugs. This car runs great and I will miss my Sunday morning drives up Pacific Coast Highway from Dana Point to Newport Beach.

I am sad to be selling this great car; I have enjoyed it very much and cannot tell you how many thumbs up I get while driving it around. I have two cars, a Carrera S and this speedster. But with two kids I have to sell one of my cars to get a four door to haul kids and sports equipment around. If you are considering a Speedster and cannot afford an original, this is as close as you may come. To build this car today and take delivery straight from IM you would pay over $60,000.

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the compliment. I do love this car. I just can not justifying having two cars that can not fit my kids and all their stuff.

I am looking to get $37,500 for the car. Based on the current prices of new IM's and only having 6966 miles on it, I think that is a fair price.

I would like to see it go to someone in CA if possible. It would be a shame to have the SPCN certificate go to waste. CA is tough on getting custom built cars registered when they are not built on existing VW pans with prior VIN numbers. This car already registered in CA and is exempt from ever having to pass a smog test. But I am willing to sell it to anyone out of state also.
Hey Oz, did you know you can get an original Speedster for that price? Right, Stan?

Seriously, your car is beautiful and it is not a very common combination of colors and it has some great options. It will be a unique replica for the new owner!

One of the best things about your car, perhaps even better than the only 7000 miles is the SB100 CA registration.

Perhaps you could sell the kids? ;-)
I think Oz's wife is pretty attached to those kids.

Anyone who saw Oz's IM up in Morro Bay in April knows what a great car it is. The color combo is special in a world of silver, red, and black Speedsters (said the guy with a "black car" fetish).
For a low-mileage IM in that kind of condition, Oz's price is right. Someone's going to get a terrific car for a nice discount. Would be cool for someone in CA to get it - what with the SPCN and all.
Nice looking spyder Tom. I wish I could keep the speedster and your spyder.

Still trying to find a good home for my speedster. At least I get to drive it until she sells. We have had some beautiful So Cal summer days for top down driving. Problem is every time I drive it, I do not want to sell it.
