This is so cool! I am looking at these details and keep thinking that what has been said so many times about the new-gen replica Speedsters applies double for this great Coupe: it is the car that Dr. Porsche WOULD have built, if he could have. Can't wait to see it live. Soon, is what I am thinking.

As of Saturday, a few more details and some more driving and she ships (hopefully) this week . . . . .

She needs her drum skins and the wheels & tires I spec'd, the second mirror, headlight grills, bonnet straps, some badges and a few other tweaks. John still wants to put a couple hundred miles on her to flush out any issues especially with the suspension.

It is really looking like a car now.

Keep up posted on the build and arrival. As I mentioned a couple of months ago at Carlisle, I'd also love to come up and see the new ride. Micky and I talked about doing the drive up together sometime this summer.

Now I need some opinions. Do I put Carrera Badges on those fenders or leave them pristine & clean? I am putting one on the rear along with the P-badges front & rear & Reutter badge. Opinions please?

I like the clean look with just a touch of script work.

I would go ahead with the Carrera script on the fenders, but make that your only brightwork on the side of the car.

Like Alan, I prefer the clean look; however, the beauty of this is that you get to decide on what you like.

I have added more 356 coupe and speedster pics to my iphoto library in the past month than I ever knew existed . . . . . just trying to keep myself from exploding!

Work- it's a good thing I'm part owner or I assure you I would be looking for a new job. If anyone really knew how much time I spent staring at these cars and fantasizing about that green car rolling off the truck . . . Let's just say it wouldn't be pretty.

John says ready to ship on MONDAY. Shipping to my business along with Kelly's Speedy. Kelly is coming to PA to pick his up. We save each a little and Kelly has no place for a big trucck to unload. Looks like MAYBE we'll see them arong the 21st or 23rd or so.

Yea it looks like a regular party at the speedster terminal in Easton Pa. The green one, Kelly's Speedy and now Jeff's roller all coming to my place. Cool!

Don't worry Alan he says he's too far away to show up and I'll supply the suds anyway. This will be a cause for celabration (and relief) for me!! BTW I hope to see you with YOUR speedy at Carlisle next year. Wait until after to sell it.

Monday July 16 @ 9:30 ET - 6:30 pm PT . . . I think the green girl is done and having her pretty green image recorded somewhere in the vicinity of the Hollywood sign. That's what I have been lead to believe. I'm now counting the days . . . along with Kelly. Cars load Thursday. Four days to Pa. She should be unloading at my place Monday - Tuesday at the lates. Fingers & toes crossed. Rabbits foot in hand. Whatever it takes . . . The waiting has been excruciating as some of you well know from your own experiences. I am hoping to get some good "final" pictures to drool over while I endure the final few days. I already have a few wish I wuddas, but hey I gotta have some "things" to tinker with and there is of course the "next" car to dream about. Right Alan? Hey Cory, has Kelly conscripted you yet to be his compatriot in picking his baby up?
