K&N Oil Filter

If, with your coupons, it is cheaper than a Napa Gold filter then, sure, go for it.

I’m seeing the K&N equivalent to my NAPA/WIX filter at $15 bucks versus NAPA/WIX at about $8 bucks.

Given that most of us change the oil yearly and rarely drive more than 4K miles per year, you won’t be taking advantage of the “superior filtering capabiities and greater mileage between oil/filter changes with modern oils” that they tout.

In the end, it is a massaged Volkswagen engine.  I don’t see the overall advantage but, as someone mentioned, ask Pat Downs or your engine builder of choice and see what he thinks.
