Just ordered a spring for the drivers side door latch on my car.  Last one went kaput yesterday after 13 years so I can't complain much.  I spoke to Aron White who manages parts at Vintage Speedsters and he even emailed me a photo of the spring in a latch to be sure I was getting the right one---the latch has four springs!  He gave me a couple of tips about getting the  latch put back in and the door back together. I also ordered a couple of spare parts  and my order will be here in a day or two.   I won't start with telling the grief I had trying to match the spring locally with no luck at Lowe's Sutherlands. Hobby Lobby, and two large auto parts stores.  BTW, Aron loves cars, particularly Speedsters and has an impressive background in the car business  including classics like steel Porsches , Vintage muscle cars and such.  A pleasure to deal with and really knew his stuff including the door latch of my 13 year old VS.  If anyone needs VS parts call Aron at Vintage Speedsters in Scottsdale, 562/402-4334.  Nice to receive impressive service like I got today and I wanted to share my experience.

Hi there Michael! Hope you are having a great night. And also thanks for the question! Seeing as we are still using the same clutch cable/ accelerator cable and wing nuts, the only thing I suppose I need to know is your shipping address! If you want you can email me or call me directly at 480-271-5988 and I would be more than happy to get you taken care of.
