Latest from the hypoid-gear-oily Mr. Hines: "My car runs unshrouded but I know I can improve cooling with a forced and ducted shroud like we do on the speedster, and I bumped you to the Speedster radiator since we’re running AC (I am also using a smaller radiator in my car).
@Lane Anderson your car is looking amazing, guessing you will put XPEL or something similar to keep the front chip free.

That's the plan of the moment. I prefer maintaining paint to plastic film, but around here you just need something more durable.
As I’ve already stated above, I’m very interested in engine temperature of this mid-engine Subaru configuration under A/C, hot day, extended hard driving. You have to think mid-engine sports cars are side, roof, back deck -ducted for a reason. I’ll volunteer to drive one from Dallas to Houston, or Dallas to Austin, in 110F high humidity. Conditions may exist In the next three months.
I'll certainly get some cooling test time before it cools off. Temps won't get pleasant here until well into October.
Drive it like you stole it...to Atlanta and back. Lol. I’ve been to SC in summer. It seemed like it can get pretty bad inland. Everything seems like cake after summer 2011 in Dallas. We had 40 straight days at or above 100, 70 days total.
I lived in Houston for three years (late '78 through late '81). temps not as high as Dallas, but MUCH more humid. Charleston is even more humid, but somewhat lower temps due to the coastal effect.
You should join us for the September gathering in the NoGA hills. See the Events forum for details.
hubba hubba hubba, the suspense is killing me, and I think Lane has already gone over the edge months ago. Talk about delayed gratification ... OMG
"...and I think Lane has already gone over the edge months ago."
More like a couple of years ago.
I recently saw an old message and realized just how long it has been. I was taken aback!
Yeah the whole idea started 5 years ago when the Coupe was just a concept in Chuck’s mind.
That will fade with a snap of the fingers, or the turn of a key in a certain blue coupe.....
Mike FIncher is starting work on my engine next. Woohoo!!
And here are a few pieces back from power coat. The others are in the paint shop being matched to the body color.

And in other news, the upholstery shop is working on the seats. I think this color (cognac) will go well with the Oslo Blue.

Mirrors on, windshield in, and reverse light installed. Dang, I have to say they look like they've been busy.
