Robby - The original bra for Porsches was developed by Colgan. Colgan has long since been sold and is a subsidy of Covercraft. I checked the Covercraft website and didn't see pics of bras on 356, though they list them on their product line. If this is the type of bra you are looking for, click the link below and contact Covercraft for specifics and pricing. Here is a pic of that type of bra...(we use when towing the Speedster)      Click pic to enlarge20170907_084230_HDR_resizedIMG_20201021_125438~3

This pic shows the bra that was available through Kirk when he owned Vintage Speedsters.Calendar 2This bra was made by the upholstery shop next to Kirk's shop (Vintage Speedsters) in Hawaiian Gardens. Since Kirk sold Vintage Speedsters, the new owner moved Vintage Speedster to Arizona. Since then, Greg Leech moved his company (Vintage Motorcraft) into Kirk's old building. If you contact Greg at VM he may have contact info on that upholstery shop previously used by Kirk.

Hope you find this info useful.

I had one for my very first Speedster and I bought it for long trips, just like you mentioned.  I now believe that most stone chips occur from routine driving, not from long trips.

I also discovered they are a PITA, don't look as cool as I thought they did in the 80s and they can damage your paint.

If you really think you want one I have a couple of them I'm willing to sell, but a clear bra would be a much better option to prevent stone chips.

Please stop posting pictures of your beautiful car. I get jealous every time I see them.

Bob, my posts and pics are a thinly disguised and pathetic call for attention, LOL!

Whatever the thread topic, I will post a pic so remotely removed and irrelevant to the subject I make myself laugh (I'm easily entertained).

For instance, the thread could ask the question "Does anyone use covers for their driving lights and where can I find them...". My reply would be "...if the covers you're talking about are like these in the pic..." IMG_20141004_112738

...or, "I'm trying to decide which style rear-view mirror to get...". My reply would be "...these are personal preference decisions. Here is what I used"...beauty_shot

I'm not right in the head...as HUGE as it may be, LOL!
