I know this is old news for those in SoCal, but I'm excited to see Luftgekuhlt 9 will move up to the Bay Area April 29/30. Anyone planning on attending?
I only bought a ticket for Saturday's event.

Anyone live near Mares Island ?. That seems to be where the event will be ……
Attended Luftgekuhlt today. It was quite a large show. This was by far the most unique car show I’ve attended. While I haven’t attended Luftgekuhlt 1-8, I’ve seen tons of photos online to get an idea of what the Luftgekuhlt shows are about.
For those that haven’t heard of luftgekuhlt, it’s an air cooled Porsche only event. Usually located in LA-area at some incredibly cool location.
This year the show moved north to the SF Bay Area. This year’s location was at Mare Island, a small island in the San Francisco Bay that most notably was used during WWII to crank out Liberty Ships. I’ve been to Mare Island once or twice, but obviously never came across the cool locations as the organizers of Luftgekuhlt have.
For me, today’s event wasn’t so much about the cars (although there were some amazing cars), as much as it was the experience. Seeing these aforementioned amazing cars choreographed amongst some amazing machinery and sites. And I definitely mean choreographed. Cars were definitely positioned by someone with a creative eye. Fully aware of the surroundings.
I thought I’d share a few highlights. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for posting those great pics!!!!
Very cool. I liked how the cars are spread out. You can actually see each car.
Such a great venue. Must have been really nice to see in person.
Dude, thanx for posting those cool pics from that event! My favorite from that show is the silver Abarth.
A buddy of mine that does transports out of NorCal brought three of those cars up from SoCal yesterday.
@Kevin - Bay Area I was going to ping you if your going and you post all the good picture 👍🤙 thanks for the share.
Here's a great video of the event. Very cool to see all the vintage Porsches.
@Kevin - Bay Area next one in Tennesse
