Eric,
My first speedster, I bought sight unseen for $13.5K and shipped from CA to IL (open trailer, $650). It took three weeks. It rolled through every snowstorm in the western US before it arrived, covered in salt. The guy backed the car off the ramps driving off the trailer (somehow, he missed crunching anything, but only by 1/4"). I had the car a year drove it about 2K, and sold it for $15.1K to a guy back in CA. He drove it about 250 miles and just sold it on ebay again for $15.6K. That car has traveled more miles on trailers than on the road. The $14.5K ebay car in MA has too. Freight included, I'm guessing that poor guy is taking a $10K hit. It's a nice looking car.
This AM, someone put in a bid, and the $14.5K "buy it now" option was gone. Its now an 8 day auction with a $13.5K (no reserve) starting point. When this car sells for $16.5K, like they all do- someone is going to be disappointed they didn't climb all over the "buy it now" when they had the chance.

By the way- don't you just love ebay? What an incredibly cool way to find stuff you would never be able to locate otherwise. I just bought an owners manual for a '96 328i for 20 bucks- the dealer wanted $195! How could I have found the guy w/o ebay? The whole thing amazes me...
This car was on ebay in December with the buy now price of $15,500. I bought mine for that price, and had to have it shipped to me. At least mine has only 1200 miles on a 1776 instead of the 1641 engine.

Don't get me wrong I have a great deal. The seller took a beating for 9 months of ownership. It allows me to add all the stuff I couldn't have afforded with a new factory ordered car.

I am surprised that the VS came with no sway bar up front at all.

PS: My car had a similar trip from Florida last month.
