In my valve adj. instructions it says to torque the manifold nuts to 20lbs
I can't get a socket on the nut on the left side of either manifold, not enough clearance. I have tried thin wall socket, 6 point,12 point, if i try to grind a socket down the wall will be too thin. will a crows foot wrench work? what is the secret for this?.
Thanx.

Bruce, if you don't want to give it a grunt, you can probably purchase a set of brass exhaust manifold nuts from cb or cip1.com. They fit an 11mm wrench and are longer than a regular nut, about a 1/2 inch. I don't see why these wouldn't work on intakes also, you could use a crowsfoot and extension to your torque wrench. I used my calibrated arm on a 13mm open-end, I don't believe it's that crucial. Also put a dab of loctite, no intake leaks yet, hand cut port-matched gaskets.
