So what we have here is a matter of taste and dollars....
The tub you are looking at is a Vintage, and if it cost more than 24K, than you can buy a new Vintage for that same money...
Alan's tub is one of the coolest I've ever seen, and being an IM is a plus also, but you need to like that style...personally, if I was in the market, I would buy Alan's in a heartbeat....
Thanks for the reply guys - I have an email into Vintage to try and confirm. I am the type of guy who wants to see and drive a car before buying it - While the car posted surely looks beautiful I have my eyes on the orange as it matches my Dodge Charger perfectly and fits into my budget. I don't want to talk specifics on price yet as I have not put a deposit down - we plan to drive down this weekend to look it over and hopefully make a deal. I will post my results when we get back.
Scott.
As Vince said, it is a Vintage, but it was most likely purchased as a partially built kit from Vintage and finished by the purchaser. Notice that the wheels are not the same that Vintage supplies with their super widebody cars and the engine was clearly not installed by Vintage.

Here is a link to an orange super widebody I sold a year or so ago and it was a turn key build from Vintage. You can see the different wheels and the curly alternator wire, which is a trademark of a Vintage built car. http://kvan.hopto.org/orangespeedster.htm

Alan is offering you a super deal on a VERY sweet car and you really need to talk to him about it.
