I took a look at the pictures you posted. It's hard to tell exactly where things are mounted.
I tried using those same blowers on my Speedster. I had them sucking from the heater boxes into the ductwork that goes into the car. It worked pretty good for awhile, but the noise from the fans was pretty obvious.
The big mistake I made (and the reason I removed the blowers) is that I mounted them at the mouth (the output end) of the heater boxes. It only took a few days to melt the fan blades. I didn't take into consideration that the blower housing and interior parts including the fan is made out of plastic.
I'm curious to see if your set up works without the problems I had.
My next attempt may be to blow through the heater boxes. I haven't decided how to accomplish this without it being too Rube Goldberg.
For now, I'm just using the stock WV set up. The biggest improvement I made was to make sure the ducting into the interior wasn't restricted. The Vintage Speedsters have a manifold type of arrangement that has inlet tubes where the hoses from the heater boxes attach. The problem with this was the manifold (a piece of square tubing) only had 3/4 in inlet holes. Itlooked as though they were cut in the manifold with a torch after the inlet tubes were attached during their construction. This made a big difference.
I also used the muffler type heat hoses (the ones that go from the heater box to the manifold inlets). They are the aftermarket duplicates of the stock VW tubes. They are amazing! They made the interior noise that I used to get with the heater on, go away!

Mine are mounted right again tthe rear seat wall and I used 2, 3inch sofet vents as intake grills , They pull air directly from the cab and push it to the heat exchanger, I am told this way you don't get as much engine smell,Its a postive presure system. There are 2 1 by 1/2 pvc pipes plumbed into the engine bay and at first carbetator clearance was a concern but after taking measurements from a friends I soon found ,I had over 2 inches to spare.
