Big time. Carey will do a very nice job for you. Next thing is everyone will need to know what tranny you have specified. Any details or thoughts yet ? 

Going to use a Pro-street Type 1 Swing axle Freeway Flyer tranny. It has a 3.44 R&P, welded hubs 3rd and 4th gears, Super Diff and heavy duty side covers.

So David, what tranny he specifies is a personal decision.  In this modern day we shouldn't judge. 

Just don't let it turn into a "Rocky Horror picture Show".

You will love the torque, it is intoxicating. This is what you can look forward to, enjoy the engine p0rn. 

 Thanks for the "Engine ****" I am already addicted. I am trying to decide on the color to have the intake and other bits powder coated. Maybe a blue similar to my car's color? or just silver or black or maybe red. I will need to think about it.

Mine matches body color and Carey added the red to match the interior. Good luck picking the color combo. 

I think I speak for all here when I opine that engine **** is always better than tranny ****. 

Just for laughs what are some of the Tranny choices others are using with  Subaru engines in their Speedster's ?  I am going with the  Pro-Street Swing axle I described earlier because I had it built for the 2276 engine, and it is very similar if not the same as Carey was offering for the conversion. 

Dont mention gear ratios. You will divide.the camp onto 3.88 and 3.44's. Then .85 or .82.  Heaven forbid the 4 vs 5 speed crowd get going.  

Its a mad house.

It will be perfect. Some others that don't have one might disagree.

I was trying to stay away from that one, Robert! I was thinking more along the lines of you'd have to go downtown to find your own, but whatever works for you...

Now that we're officially in driftland:  As a young San Jose fireman in the late 60's, we would frequently be called to the red light district downtown for resuscitator calls, muggings, o.d.'s, etc.  Many of the working "girls" were chicks with d*icks.  I asked one of my beat cop buddies about gender identification for the "girls", in other words, were they guys or gals for incarceration purposes, and how they determined gender prior to processing.

His reply: Ah, sh*t, Kelly, that's easy.  All the good-looking ones are guys.
