Hello Ted,

The colour is Graublau RAL5008 and the engine is a 2110cc from CB Performance. Lots of extras and built as an "outlaw" style.  Very happy with it.

Glad to be part of it and finally owning a speedster.

In other words, a blue not black

I see by your use of "colour" that you're another Canuck. Beautiful car.

They have a whole range of shifters, lengths, color etc.  They have them for speedsters, beetles, buses etc. It is said that they will cut one to length for your fit. Vintage Speed, is in Taiwan, no connection to any of the "Vintage" companies stateside. I think Aircooled.net, here is a dealer for Vintage Speed.

Thanks! Is it me... but they don't look the same??

The Vintage has a single bend. The one owners has a slight bend at the base and another 3/4's up...

They will do whatever you want to the shifter. You want a single bend, double bend, triple bend, no problem. A little longer or shorter, no problem. You want a different thread size on the knob end, no problem.

Maybe I'll send them the pic and say "can you make this?" for me...

I like the three bend shifter as it fits more true to the look I've been going for on my build...
