Hello all,

I picked up a month ago what I believe to be a VS build. It's been a real struggle getting information on it. All the info I have on it is that it went across the Barrett Jackson stage in Scottsdale, AZ back in 2014. I purchased it with 568 miles on it. The previous owner didn't keep any records on it. It's currently at the shop getting the rear main seal replaced and having a fuel leak from the EMPI IDF 40 carb tracked down. Anyways, here are some picks.

If memory serves me, thats a VS built for Park Place motors in Bellevue, WA back in 2013-2014... they took the car to Barret J, ( which they did often with any VS that did not sell by end of summer) after not being able to sell it at their shop.   They had 4-6 new builds from VS per year for about 8-9 years ( through 2017) when Porsche sent them a “ letter” asking thy don’t sell replicas w/ Porsche scripts.     Park Place has been authorized Porsche sales and service shop for decades.

Two signature ParkPlace build features were the umbrella handle, & fog lights with the long toggle switch by the light switch.  They also did a couple carrera recreations  per year.

most of their cars had 1600cc engines,   If you give them a ring or send them a note they should be able to get you the build sheet.... they keep a great database of cars purchased/sold.

congratulations and welcome to the madness!

Awesome! Thank you for the information! I’ll give them a ring. The motor in it is 1915cc. Not sure from where though. Maybe park place could tell me!
