Regretfully I'm out too (Wolfgang and Patti). Weird that I made Maggie Valley Hotel reservations late through Hotels.Com - and it has no-penalty cancelation by 20 Sep at 6 pm GMT cancellation. Good thing I was recently in Greenwich England or I'd have no idea and would have missed cancellation.
Sorry about that Michael but mopping up is certainly a reason to take care of the home front. We will look forward to catching up with you and Dianne next spring in Carlisle. Hurricane damage is certainly a reason to miss this event. The hurricane sank my son, Russ' boat to the bottom of Pamilco Sound, NC and he has been dealing with that the last 3 days. His time managing the yacht maintenance facility at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL came in handy as he got it re floated 3 days ago and has already torn down the diesel engine that everyone said was destroyed---and got it started with no damage at all yesterday after working his magic on it. He ran it long enough to put 10 gallons of diesel fuel through it and it seems perfect. What a relief for Russ!
We are all set and ready to launch Tuesday morning. I just need to top off the gas tank and throw the suitcases into the Speedster and charge the i pods. Can't wait to see everyone late Wednesday afternoon at Maggie valley, NC. Hope everyone will be careful and drive safely!
