Noob bought himself a Beck

Greetings Gentlemen,

First time Speedster owner here. I've read through the forum pretty thoroughly so hopefully I can spare you most of the stupid noob questions. It's stock Beck so far except I put on a Porsche hood handle badge and there's a set of baby moons on the way to me as we speak. It didn't have side windows so I got some from Beck (thanks for sorting that so quickly Brad). I intend to do the the full Porsche badge thing over next few weeks then eventually twin carbs etc. All in good time eh? Too busy enjoying the hell out of it in the sun.

Only thing I cant find is the VIN. I've heard (probably here on SOC) its in the front trunk but the carpet is stuck down and I don't want to go ripping it all out.

Hopefully there is a couple of pics attached. Will post more if you want or rather when I take more.

There is no VIN on a Beck, but there is a frame number that can be found in two or three places.  Under the front hood/trunk/frunk/boot/whatever there should be a number plate on the right side as you face the car just behind the spare tire.  There is also a frame number plate welded to the center tunnel under the removable shift coupling access cover.  And finally, some areas require number plates in one of the door jambs.

 

I'll see if I can locate the pictures from when I wrote the manual.

 

EDIT: It looks like those pictures were lost when the disk controller dies.  Rats.  I'll keep looking.
