The time has come to move on to what will probably be the last item on my automotive bucket list.  Since experience has taught me that having 2 toy cars is having 1 too many, I have opted to sell my 2006 VS.  I am the original owner and have provided nothing but the best for her these last 12+ years.  It came from VS with a 1915 engine. 3.88 gearing, front discs, 2 tonneau covers, bumper guards, radio/cd, trunk carpet, and Nardi 365 cm steering wheel.  The car is Harvest Cream color with navy interior and top.  Personal additions have included: porsche body and dash emblems, nipple hubcaps with real porsche crests, Gene Berg shifter (ugly but oh so smooth), coco mats, porsche crest horn button and a period accurate Reutter luggage rack with Dusty Johnson strap set.  There are three sets of wheels and 2 sets of practically new tires.  Whenever I got bored with the look, I bought new wheels instead of a new car.  Much more economical.  The wheels are Empi polished Fuch replicas (with 4 lug adapters, lug nuts and the expensive metal porsche center caps),  the original 8 slot painted vw wheels with plain hubcaps, and the new Beck 10 D shaped slot 4 bolts that are currently on the car.  The car has always been garaged and covered, never been wet (except for a heavy mist the 1 night the top was used in 2006 on a club trip to Solvang) only dusted and waxed when necessary.  The top is as new and has only been exposed to the elements 1 night in 12 years.  Only 20/50 Brad Penn motor oil has been used and has been changed every 1000 miles.  The car currently has 12600 miles on it and has been very reliable.  In 12+ years the only mechanical failures have been the throw-out bearing, master cylinder, and alternator.  Runs great, runs cool, even in Socal heat. Never any body or paint work.  Tags just renewed in May.  Price is $27,500 and pretty firm.  You would be hard pressed to find a nicer one, especially with all these goodies.

Tom Williams, Orange, CA--2006 VS

Forgot to mention that the car also has the $900  A-1 exhaust from Tiger, as well as a car cover.  I have been receiving several requests to buy the Fuch style wheels and tires and the Ruetter rack and straps.  I prefer to keep the package together, but will be willing to sell the car without those items for $26K OBO.  Then I would sell the remaining items separately.  Doing it this way in case I end up keeping the car.
