Would someone mind posting a picture of an original Speedster dash. I am not sure how the chrome strips are placed. Did the factory install the same dash for the entire Speedster production life?
Thanks; Crosby Foster

Howard, a picture of a Carrera dash. As far as I know the strip hasn't changed over the years '54-'58. See Brett Johnson's guide.

Howard, the dash itself did change. The early pre-A Speedsters had two 'big' gauges (speedo and tacho) and a smaller one (fuel). The A Speedsters had three equal sized gauges (a combi for oil temperature and fuel). Mart.
If you go to the Photos section of this website and look at the pictures posted in "Greg" there's two pictures (actually place holders) named "RT_55_review2.jpg" . Double click on those. It's a reprint from a road and track review of the Speedster. It has a some photos of Speedsters when they were new. I think you can see enough dash in one of those shots to figure out what you're looking for.

Hope these pics help. The Red Speedster (1956) has the typical dash layout found in 1954-56 production cars. The Black car, a '57 model, has the dash layout for 1957-58 production cars. Two additional gauges have been added to the Black cars dash.
The set on the far right is a 3 large guage cluster from a 56 GS (GTs too.) Otherwise they (-56) had the guage set up as Glenn just showed.

The Silver is a 58, I think, and the left is an early 57 T-1.
Howard, two pictures of my own IM-dash. You should ask Henry Reisner for the right parts and instructions. Mart.
