Y'all come on down, ya hear!  Fly into VPS and I'll pick you up.  Cool today after heavy rain and tornado warnings last night.  73 now and breezy - but most days now are 75 max and low 60's at night.  Low humidity too.  On Gulf of MX so always a South breeze. Had to laugh when I saw Rich D's Facebook yesterday with 16" of snow on ground and that much more on the way.  We're NW FL - only 1/2 hr to Alabama boarder --- hence, nick name Red Neck Riviera.

We are getting ready for the tourist season down here. Most of our visitors come from the midwest. Same with our Snowbirds. Seems the eastcoasters tend to visit the eastern part of the state and the midwesterners come here.

We get 3 seasons here. Spring, Summer, and sort of fall like the rest of the year. They all last about 1/3 of the year each. Reminds me a lot of growing up in SoCal, except the summers can be hotter and more humid, and the fall like season, particularly in mid January to mid March, are a little colder.

As you know, Bob-- we have more than 3 seasons here.

1) Winter

2) Fool's Spring

3) Second Winter

4) Spring of Deception

5) Third Winter

6) Mud

7) Actual Spring (3 days, not all in a row)

8) Asian Beetles

9) Hades

10) Sauna

11) Mosquitos

12) False Fall

13) Indian Summer

14) Actual Fall

We're on our fifth season of the year (Third Winter), which may or may not end at some point soon. Season six (mud) will invariably come, but Season seven (Actual Spring) may or may not materialize before moving directly into Asian Beetles.

Alright, Wolfgang, you got this event out of your system. Now, get the Speedster out of the garage, find the tow bar, check the maps and program your GPS to Alan Merklin’s new address and start packing. You will be so relieved you did this. Next year, you’ll be able to show up in Panama City with a big old SEG on your face and say “I’m teally glad I finally did that last year!”

Just out of curiosity, "Why won't you finish your Speedster?" Is it some sort of commitment issue? If you finish the Speedster you won't have anything to work on? Or talk about?

Finish the Speedster and you can talk about all the fun you're having in it.

I would really like to complete your Speedster for you. I'll  have a speedster here that I will prep and have painted in June then I can do you can at my leisure over the summer months.  This would work out perfectly, you drag the car to Elkins, WV 26241 ( I know you know if is close to your WV property)  continue with Connie and I the final 5 hours to Carlisle  on Wednesday 5/16  and you can pick it up after Tour D' Smo late September or have it shipped prior.

Maybe this winter you could come to Florida and complete WOLFGANGS' Speedster. This area is very nice in the winter. Maybe I could come over and help.
