Thank you sir.   Have been driving the P-car  for everything since I hit a snow bank a few weeks ago  while trying to avoid an out of control car that came on to my late...  cars look so sad when they get hurt.

... but can’t wait for the snow to clear from the roads so I can go back to driving the speedy.  She’s my true love!!!

Yeap... the insurance company has totaled her.  To much technology to buff this one out ;-) that’s why I love the simplicity of pre 1994 cars ;-)

We are waiting to sort out the paperwork and to pick up her twin sister... she is traveling up from CA... well... the younger sister, since she was born in 2020 vs 2019...   the snow storm these past weeks has really slowed down the process.

But all is good.... we are still skiing 4-6 days per week ;-). It’s nice getting outside and spending time with the kids.

Thanks Stan.   I’m not a fan of our local PCA... bunch of exclusive  tech guys- both retired and young- who seem to miss the fact that a car guy is a car guy, no matter what car they love and drive. And hanging with car guys is always fun and cool!!!

sorry for the thread drift.

Just found this beauty shot in my phone.  It always makes me smile—-   I do have to admit every time I walk into the garage It feels like I’m looking at a 20 year old sorority girl and her 60 year old house mother sitting next to each other at a dance and thinking  “man that old lady is hot, would love to take her out for a spin”. ;-)

I couldn't care less what ANYBODY thinks about our little plastic toys, going to look at a 66 corvette conv. and if I buy that I will drive one or the other daily from mid march till the first snow flies... might have a knit cap and sweater on but it'll accent my big smile. most people see me and think its too cold etc... never know how many rides we have left before that looming dirt nap !! not sure I'd ever want to be part of the P club owners circle if they are always looking down their nose at other peoples toys, and I've got them all, Harley collection, standup jetskis that cost more then our clown cars, 2016 corvette conv. and I enjoy them all as much as I can, daughter is out on her own (attending at CHOP) and momma likes to play with my toys as much as I do.

It's sad that a lot of guys who are able to own really nice cars are not car guys.  Owning a nice car for the prestige or status it brings them is the wrong reason to own a specialty/performance car, and if something better came along (within their price range) most of them would jump in a heartbeat.  They don't appreciate/understand the whole car thing to begin with and really aren't in touch with what they have, so how can we expect them to appreciate anything else?

Agree, pal with two guys who rebuilt 67' vettes; one guy to drive, one guy did two: one to drive and one to show.  We drive our cars and push the weather because we like sound, wind, shifting and, in general, being involved with our cars. Here, PCA guys split.  Some care, some don't.  Doesn't matter, we're not driving for their approval.  And, for widebody boy...Greg L puts heated seats in his Speedsters, like mine.  Just in case smashing through the gears doesn't warm your bottom, it'll still be o.k. when the temp goes down, hit the button under the dash.

Below is the one I have on my cars.  I did a window cling sticker... looks awesome on all cars!!!  My brother and dad both sport them as well on their 911s and original 356.  We are our own PCCA local chapter, and cruise together in the summer.  I hand them out to anyone that asks and is accepting  of “car guys”.

I even saw one on a 911 I didn’t know... somehow they saw my car at a Home Depot parking lot, pulled up next to my car, took a picture of our cars together, and posted it on the local PcA Facebook page last June sporting matching stickers.... it was awesome!!!
