Porsche 901 side shifter with flipped ring and pinion-5 spd. speedster?

I'm in the process of building a speedster replica and also have a few other Porsches. A number of years ago I purchased a 914-6 project and recently got it running. I quickly found out that someone had flipped the ring and pinion, as I had 5 reverse gears and 1 forward gears. This won't work in a mid engine 914, but it will work in a VW chassis with some modifications. The transmission is a type 901 and comes with the shifter fork and T/O bearing. The engine is not for sale and is back in the 914. I thought maybe someone here on the forum could use it for a 5 spd. speedster build. I'm asking $1,300.
