P1070020some photos from 12/4 @Portola Valley, CA - good turnout with 3 Spyder replicas present and maybe 80 cars total....nice variety - EVERY first Sunday of the month 8:30 - 11:30 - would be nice to see some Speedster/Roadster replica folks represented there......the organizer is a Beck Spyder driver/owner and the event is 'replica friendly' -

@calmotion your photo included my buddy’s Mclaren (MCNOTTY) and another friend’s black Boxster. They enjoy the event for all the reasons I do not. But that’s cool.  There’s always something for everyone.

At the C&C yesterday, there was a 300SL. I’ve never seen a gullwing Mercedes in a driver condition. And I loved it. The owner was cool. Chatting with folks. He truly enjoys driving this car and having fun. I loved it. Pics attached.

Whenever I walk through a Cars & Coffee gathering (anywhere in SoCal) I see a line up of Lambo's filling up one row, a line up of Ferrari's filling up the next row, Bentley's, Rolls's and McLarens in another and a a row of Porsche GT 3's ands 4's, 918 Spyders, Carrera GT's. Then there's the huddling of the owners (in their $$$ driving shoes and logo polo shirts) each espousing the amenities of their respective cars, never wandering off more than two feet from their steeds. [Note: deploying poetic license here in use of apostrophes indicating plural of each vehicle marques, and not as possessive or contraction]

It all reminds me of the old caste systems we all experienced in high school. There's the elitist 'Socialites' (the cool guys & girls), the 'Jocks', the nerds/geeks, and the rest of us scrubs (surf punks, low-riders, goths, etc.).

Yeah, that happens all the time out here. Seems like I can’t walk around my C&C without stubbing my toes on a Lambo, Ferrari, or GT Porsche.

None of those cars do anything for me.  Ferrari & Lambo haven't made a car that's worth a damn since they dropped the metal bumpers.
