Real Speedster on ebay $5k no reserve - no bids?

NOT MINE. Says not show quality but $4,999 and no bids (no prior history for seller). Raises the red too good to be true flag. Is Fremon in Utah?

The seller has zero feedback and joined ebay 3 days ago... Now is offering with no reserve a car that even in somewhat less than stellar condition is easily worth 10 times the asking price.

The comment about the brakes seems a little odd. If I recall correctly, the early 912's used 356 solid rotor brakes. So having a 912 brake on a 356 is...what? I could be wrong on that, pretty weak in 356/912 knowledge. Also, I'm almost completely positive that 912's used late 356 engines. So these comments are a little weird.

I'm going to watch the auction. See what happens.

Disc brakes didn't appear til '63 on the 356C version - so it does have pdated brakes --- the chrome rims and hubcaps looks very 912ish. Where did the rear beehives come from - don't believe they were '62 (thought 56 was last year for them?) Only 28k miles too. Gotta be a bondo sled.

I know this thread is dead as the ebay car has been removed but,,,
the 356C version was introduced in the 1964 model year and was the first year for disc brakes on a street car, not 1963 as mentioned above.

Dead hourse but model year '64 cars are built starting in August '63 on - so technically they were introduced in calandar year 1963 for model year 1964 cars.
