One other thing.

Most of the mirrors that end up on our cars are virtually worthless when mounted on the passenger side. They're small by today's standards and were designed to be used close to the driver (on the driver's door). And unlike modern passenger-side mirrors, they're usually not convex.

You CAN get the streamlined mirrors (and many others) with convex glass, but you usually have to make it a point to seek them out. (Stoddard and Sierra Madre generally have them, at increasingly ludicrous prices).

The convex mirrors are sorta OK on the passenger side, but still not great. I'd check out the view from the driver's seat by taping any prospective hardware in place, before removing any door cards or drilling any holes.
