I forgot to mention that this guy, Mike, bought all my products at the LA Literature and Toy Show two February's ago. The LA Lit Show is held at the LAX Hilton Hotel every February. It's TONS of new and used Porsche Parts and related materials mostly sold by car owners. I just received a notice that it is canceled for next February and will be held in 2022. It's only one day but worth it to go.............Bruce

You know, Bruce, my wife and I were in LA/Anaheim during the LA Lit show last Feb. and I kind-of thought of attending while we were flying out there.  Then I thought the better of it and about the Covid thing and talked myself out of it.  We kept to ourselves, for the most part, or with people we trusted.

Just this past week, the researchers at Harvard Univ. doing social contact tracing on an international biotech convention held in Boston last February have determined that, from that conference, alone, spawned roughly 300,000 Covid cases - and still climbing as it continues to spread.

I suddenly felt pretty good about not attending the LA Lit show!

thanks

Paul

I have been in their factory a couple of times, as they hold an open house each Fall (not this year, of course).  It's very interesting walking around, and seeing the range of body parts that they make for the 356 and 911.  They always have a number of ongoing projects, and they also have a couple of original speedsters that are quite remarkable.

All in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, just a few miles from me.  I kind of just sneak up in my Intermeccanica, and they still let me in...

My buddy and his girlfriend, both of whom work in convention/show business in Las Vegas, both contracted C-19 early on. Feb, I think. They are pretty certain the early Las Vegas hot spot was created by one or two people from the Midwest that were high mucky-mucks at that convention. Both had recently traveled from China, my one friend, a sound guy, had interacted with them both on several occasions, being up close and personal putting wireless mic transmitters on them.

Talking with them is what put the fear of God in me early on. He described it as being "the sickest I've ever been in my life."  And just when he thought it was over, it would hit him again like a ton of bricks again. 6 weeks virtually incapacitated, all told.

@dlearl476 A good friend of mine, Dennis O'Brien of O'Brien Truckers Hot Rod Parts contracted Covid after attending the funeral for his niece.  He literally couldn't get out of bed for three weeks and his daughter came by to care for him.  He said the same thing - Worst sickness he had ever had by far.  It's now been 6 weeks+ and he's just getting back to his business.

I won't be going anywhere til April, at least.
