Greetings,

My right side mirror is unusable because I can not adjust it far enough to the right.  I've loosened its adjustment screw but the mirror only pivots so far - and that is not far enough to see down the right side lane.

What are my options?  Anyone know whether it's possible to buy and mount a wider mirror on the installed base?  Have folks found a new mirror that might work without making the left mirror look out-of-place?  What's entailed to move my existing mirror base forward some to allow the mirror to work?  Does removal of the door panel allow access to the mounting screws, bracket, etc. or is there more to this than meets the eye?

Thanks in advance?

Marshall

Troys proposed method is the way to go...

But, if you go down the convex mirror path, they do sell convex Aero mirror replacements.

They are not the 24$ they were in 2016 when I purchased mine,,, but they are an easy fix. They are a Stoddard/NLA part number, so you can call purchase from them  directly as well... possibly a little cheaper. They have all been running year ended sales,

happy holidays.

I have the round style mirrors that were on the car upon purchase, were mounted in a position that is basically useless and I didn't want to have to move them fill the holes and shoot both doors. So I went to a heavy duty truck shop and ordered convex round mirrors the same size and they came with sticky back, been on 2 plus years look like they belong there and the field of vision is great.

Here's the solution.  Sierra Madre sells an Aero style convex mirror that solves the problem of no visibility from the right side mirror.  I got mine in 2016 and it was $94.85

I too went through the fix of modifying the existing mirror base using a dremel tool and that never worked for me.  The Sierra Madre convex mirror looks exactly like the original useless one, and the convex mirror does the trick 100%.

Sierra Madre is a great source of high quality parts for a Speedster.
