Back from FL vacation and back in the garage... CB came through with a fantastic kit and my new tranny has arrived...  Motor assembly going well. Super clean assembly of the crank, rods, main bearings, distributor drive w/ new CB distributor kit. And, new race cam/gear.  Balanced crank & rods.  Tomorrow if time permits the "short block" is finished and ready for phase 2!  Love this stuff!!! Speedster motor 2019Speedster motor 2019-2

I am holding you all in suspense until Carlisle!  ;-)   lol...  Seriously, it is typical of me... very conservative with durability and long life in mind and still with some performance.  (Hint) You will get a better idea of the displacement and performance when you see the new exhaust system...   The welded case is the nicest I have ever worked on.  I may need some suggestions on setting up the distributor advance springs.  And, the dual Webers will be a new feat for me too.  I used to have dual Kadrons on an 1835 I had. I'm guessing dialing in the Webers should be similar.  I am really looking forward to the difference in RPMs with the new tranny!
