Back from FL vacation and back in the garage... CB came through with a fantastic kit and my new tranny has arrived... Motor assembly going well. Super clean assembly of the crank, rods, main bearings, distributor drive w/ new CB distributor kit. And, new race cam/gear. Balanced crank & rods. Tomorrow if time permits the "short block" is finished and ready for phase 2! Love this stuff!!!

Now that's a distributor!
Love my magna spark dizzy--making life easier.
So refresh our memories, Jim- exactly what are you building? And I want to know all the details!
I am holding you all in suspense until Carlisle! ;-) lol... Seriously, it is typical of me... very conservative with durability and long life in mind and still with some performance. (Hint) You will get a better idea of the displacement and performance when you see the new exhaust system... The welded case is the nicest I have ever worked on. I may need some suggestions on setting up the distributor advance springs. And, the dual Webers will be a new feat for me too. I used to have dual Kadrons on an 1835 I had. I'm guessing dialing in the Webers should be similar. I am really looking forward to the difference in RPMs with the new tranny!
Nice, man. I almost got me one of those CB Builder's kits for the Spyder build. Very helpful to see how easily it goes together for you.
No regrets! Like the quality. Life the service!
