Seat Track Bolt Identification - where to purchase?

Do a search for Flat Head Carriage Bolt and you should find what you need. You may need to square off the sides a bit to fit into the track better.

Hi Stan...on the carriage bolt above in the picture it has the square key under the top of the head, this prevents the bolt from turning as you attach a screw to it. Also, the sides of the carriage bolt need's to fit down into the track assembly to have it mount with the bottom part of the slide assembly....sheesh!, now I know why Tech writers make the big bucks! I don't think Hex heads come with the that key. This is where a picture is worth a thousand words!....Thanks!

I'd grind down new carriage bolts like have.  I do prefer stainless steel ones.  The important thing is to have a big steel backing plate on the bottom side so they don't pull out of the thin floor pan and eject you and the seat in case of an accident.   I'd personally use a steel strap that goes from side to side over large fender washers.

Yes, I'll probably end up grinding them down. The replacements are stainless....
