Hello to all,

While I had my seats out of my CMC 356 Speedy, I noticed that the Carriage bolts that hold the seat to the chassis are looking pretty bad, so decided to replace them. The size is a A307 JG  5/16-18 x 2 1/2" for front mount and 5/16-18 x 1 1/2" for rear mount. The Tops have been shaved off the sides (see pictures) so that they can fit in the track assembly. Is this a manufactured bolt or has this been hand-modified? If this is a manufactured item can someone tell where I can buy some? I could also put the grinder/file on the carriage bolts I have now, if push comes to shove.  Appreciate the Help .....Thanks!

Hi Stan...on the carriage bolt above in the picture it has the square key under the top of the head, this prevents the bolt from turning as you attach a screw to it. Also, the sides of the carriage bolt need's to fit down into the track assembly to have it mount with the bottom part of the slide assembly....sheesh!, now I know why Tech writers make the big bucks! I don't think Hex heads come with the that key. This is where a picture is worth a thousand words!....Thanks!
