Every detail that comes out about this car makes me shake my head in wonderment. It's not just that it's accurate and beautiful, but also that every last thing about what Carey and Anand started with makes this ridiculously hard.

.032 is not much thicker than aluminum coil-stock used for siding trim (which is .019 or .024).

That's thin...

Great progress from the guys at Special Edition! The rockers have been covered. They’ll secure them along the door thresholds with some screws a bit later today. Carey said they’ll hang the doors, too.

The tonneau is going to get test fitted again (with the doors in place) and I’d imagine Carey will paint it.

I’m sure there’s a punch list with a dozen little things that Carey wants to tidy up after that (Bendix fuel pump decals), 12v power outlet, etc. I’m assuming that there may be more after the car gets driven....

Oh My!  I'd be conflicted.....drive it, or build a garage around it and showcase it like a museum piece.

Oh it's getting driven. Even if I have to walk over to his house, face entry, and drive off in it while he's at work. Oh wait, I just remembered, I can open his garage with his Home Link app since I'm an authorized user.

Interior is complete. Doors will go on at the end.

Holy cow.

During these trying times, when we disagree on so many fundamental questions:

  • Does the executive branch of government have the right to suspend the constitution during a time of national crisis?
  • What are essential services?
  • Does a quarantine mean one can or cannot go for a pleasure drive?
  • Ford or Chevy?
  • Paper or plastic?
  • Ginger or Maryanne?

It's good to know that there are certain things that unite us-- totems we can gather around, without disagreement or bickering.

Things like this car. Things like this car's interior.

Holy cow, @arajani and @chines1. Holy Freaking Cow. It's astounding.
