I have a 1960 Porsche 718 RSK replica. The air cooled motor is positioned backwards and it has positraction.Transmission fluid leaked out of the bottom and the gear shifter is stuck. You can take It out of gear by pulling the back end of the linkage out. What should I do next?

This thread was started in April 2011 ...if you need help start a new thread-I think you'd get more responses. I recall 2 members having (or had) Spyders:

Steve and Angela Lane (Laneco) and/or Larry Jowdy - both highly experienced. Try to get an e-mail address; good luck!

Uuuum...If the engine is 'positioned backwards' then that must mean that the steering wheel and shifting lever are at the wrong end of the car?

Relax Ashcreek...there's a wealth of knowledge and experience out here that will diagnose your problem.
