I have a Beck Spyder.

I am trying to find the best shocks for a combination of street/autocross and track use.

I just changed the completely worn out originals to Empi coil overs. The ride and handling is much better but the ride height is much greater than I would like (maybe as much as two inches).

Has anyone else used these shocks - what'st the best way to get the ride height correct?

Any other suggestions on what the best shocks are?

Thanks

Perry, I drive a Beck also....I use KYB Gr-2s front and rear....Ride height is not effected (from stock). I believe the stock shocks are normaly single acting units( usualy only work during compression ) The Gr-2 is a gas charged double acting shock....Wheel hop, and suspension action are greatly improved.....I, too, set my car up as a road machine with performance capabilities....

The coilover shocks may be "overkill" on a car as light as a Spyder....I believe Vintage uses coil over shocks, but I'm not sure they utilize torsion bars.....

If you're in Atlanta, Give me a call or drop me an E-mail, as I live within a five mile radius of Road Atlanta......Maybe take a mountain cruise....
