Last week a VM speedster on the West Coast went for amazingly high money. This week a VM speedster on the East Coast is already at $50k in bidding that has gone up in giant steps. Which coast will win: West Coast with top-down weather or East Coast with fewer speedsters available?

In regards to what goodies these cars have on them (ie. front and rear disk brakes, frame, engine size, ect.) What are the differentiator's? (gold paint?) I'll go for the west coast.
@Larry Scislowicz Depending on your state and your insurance, "titled as a Porsche" vs. "titled as a VW" and whether the VIN matches the pan could be very important to the purchaser.
IMHO, the gold standard is a Special Construction title. In many states, I would not be able to register my Spyder (without windshield, windshield washers, seat belts) as either a vintage Porsche or a (less) vintage VW. In the case of VW title, it would also have to pass emissions. (68+)
As it is, titled as a 1955 Special Construction, my tags are $10/year, no inspection/emissions required.
I don’t know how Carey or Greg do their VIN’s now, but this CA SPCN # is mine.
