It was sunny and in the mid 50's here in lovely Southern Indiana Greater Louisville KY. Area this afternoon. I couldn't stop myself from taking the cover off my  Speedster and going out for a nice 2 hour drive. My Subaru converted Speedster drove flawlessly and I turned lots of heads. I did have one of the County Sheriff's deputy's follow me for about 20 min going from one end of our county to the other. I finally stopped at an old VW buddy's house to show him my car and the officer drove on . My buddy and his wife listen to the police scanner and told me they were listening as the deputy called my tags in and stated he was looking for a reason to pull me over to check my car out.

My friend who is recovering from a stroke told me my stopping by made his day. You just never know when a little decision can have a huge impact on another's life. I am grateful to be enjoying my Speedster in Mid December. I Might be able to sneak it out for a drive tomorrow as well.

Sounds like a wonderful afternoon, Jimmy! If the opportunity is there, grab it... Al

Glad you're getting some miles on the new Soob, Jimmy.

I didn't get any driving in but it was mild enough to take the car outside and wash it properly and get it back in to try my new Griots DA 7" buffer.

I just had time to do the front hood this today.... and so with all Meguiar's products did the clay bar routine ( pain in the butt manual labour ), compound, polish and wax. This process is all new to me. Wow...a total improvement. Swirl marks came out easily as well as other minor scratches etc. I do have two scratches that will need paint work but I have a plan for that and touch up paint on hand. There was another fly in the garage today and he stupidly tried to land on the hood. The bugger slipped and broke his neck.
