Speedster rural mail box topper

I met a local vendor at Fall Carlisle that can laser cut most any item in steel. He does excellent work. I've asked him to do a Speedster rural mail box topper for me and sent him the attached pic showing a garden weather vane as a sample that he will improve on.
I've asked for a pricing on a dozen for the
....speedster silhouette only...... with a base that can be affixed to the top of a rural mail box.
They'll ship in black primer for you to rattle can your speedster or mail box color. Pricing will be inexpensive and include shipping.

Don't laugh But rode around with duct tape top on the D for 6 months. It was my pattern for the present top.

But Dang I LIKE ! that weather vane. But Im afraid to ask how much..

I asked him to do a Speedster rural mail box topper of the speedster silhouette with a fixed predrilled base that can be attached to the top of a rural mail box, set on a desk top etc.

They arrived today !

They are custom laser cut from sturdy 1/16" tempered steel & finished in black primer. Measure 10-3/4" x 3-3/4" with a 1 x 9-3/4 pre-drilled mounting plate.

I am more than pleased with the quality.....the photo's don't show the quality craftsmanship ...I am sure that you'll be more than pleased !

I only have ten (10) available, if sold out and there is an on going interest, I'll order again.

The mailbox topper is a fantastic addition to the speedster related paraphernalia that continues to grow, thanks Alan! Even the wife thought it was neat. Now, on to painting and finding a suitable spot of honor.

ha, I was going to cut out a convertible top - paint it red and use a single bolt in rear to mount it --- for a flag to indicate there is mail in the box to go. Probably PO the PO guy though.

There are specific USPS requirments for the box it self as well as the red flag.
Some time back we had a bitchy rural carrier that decided our box was 2" too high from the ground and refused to leave mail until it was corrected and......inspected by the local Postmaster.

I scrounged though the archives, I still have two of these available.
