Yesterday, at the request of Special Edition, I drove to Manhattan Beach and met with a new Spyder owner. I went over the entire car including maintenance, driving etc etc. I also tried to track down a problem he was having wherein the engine stalled a couple of times.
(FYI, Special Edition really offers great customer service) Even for a customer who lives 2,500 miles from their Indiana manufacturing facility)

While I was there a fellow named Boris Kodjoe dropped by to talk to the owner of the Spyder. Later I found out that Boris is an actor and is scheduled to star in a new NBC series called Undercovers (sort of like the movie called Mr. & Smith) Boris mentioned that he was going to drive a Porsche in the series but he didn't know what model of a car it was only that it was hand built.

When I got home I did a Google search and found a clip from the new series. It appears that he's driving a silver Speedster but I don't know which brand.

Here's the clip and the scene with the Speedster is at the 2:10 minute mark:

It's a Silver Turtleback Speedster built by JPS Motorsports and owned by Jason Mordoh. Jason, who's a professional photographer, loaned the car to the production company to shoot the pilot episode quite a while back.
The show got picked up and the producers ordered a duplicate of Jason's car from JPS for use in the weekly series. I believe they took delivery of it last week as shooting for the new season is starting. If the show takes off, they may order a second car, too! Nice.

John,

Thanks for the follow up informaiton
I figured it was someone local (vintage or JPS) as Boris said that they recently took delivery of the car and that it was made locally however he didn't know who made the car and he didn't know what kind of a car it was, he kept calling it a car that Porsche made a long time ago that looked like a VW and had a "thing" behind his head.
I asked he meant a faring and he said "I think so"

The photo you posted explains it all.

OK, It's clear that Boris is an actor and without a doubt, not a car guy but, he was VERY cordial and respectfull and appeared to be just a genuine "guy" without delusions of grandeur
