1. Remove Calif. Car Cover.
2. Disconnect trickle charger after having observed green light on trickle charger
3. Check for and eject any stink bugs.
4. Check for presence and level of engine oil by using dip stick provided.
5. Turn ignition key and wait for electric fuel pump to fill carburetors.
6. Turn engine over for 15 or 20 sec to pump some of aforementioned oil around the vital parts.
7. Pump the gas pedal about 20 or more times until ignition is sensed (you will know when this happens).
8. Keep pumping the gas pedal until the noise and coughing abate and the engine seems like it may actually run a little by itself.
9. Head out around the block to see if all holds together and the brakes still function.
10. Neglect to mention to your SO upon returning that you only got it up to 70 leaving the neighborhood.
11. Supress urge to spread lips and show teeth, also known as an SEG.
12. Promise to do it all again tomorrow.

Kelly, glad to see you are back on the road! calling for 72 degrees Friday. I never put my Speedster under a blanket for an extended period of time. Even in 35 degree Weather it is too damn much fun. My "spring cleaning" list seems to be a little more extensive. Made a little video of last weeks work. All started with replacing knobs/bezels and adding a rubber grommet to the dash grab handle. within 1 hour had the interior apart and found plenty of things to do. Madness? Yes, but i wouldnt have it any other way. Spring is finally here, Enjoy the ride friends.
Paul,

Very well done. I suppose you did not mention to your GF that she had a snake on top of her head while she was driving -- ?? And she "helps" in the Garage?? THAT is impressive . . .

Meanwhile, am I right in understanding that your car was newly made a little while ago, by TR? I recall something about how the whole rear end cracked and dropped off, and you had to weld it back on. And now there are links all but worn through, leaking gas/hydraulic fluid, worn shift bushings?? Then some trouble w/ the heads that I do not recall the details of. What on that car has not needed serious work??
Took advantage of a BEAUTIFUL 75-degree day to do some junk yard scrounging and scored a mint guage cluster from a Porsche 924 Turbo.

Tried to scoff the nose emblem, too, but simply could not reach the fasteners and gave up, then moved on to a Toyota Paseo and grabbed the fuse/relay block. It originally had A/C so this block will be perfect for the Suby conversion with it's 11 relays and 80 bazillion fuses.

If ya can't drive it, ya might as well work on it....
She "helps" in the garage so I will let her drive the car. I spend a lot of time in the garage, its nice to have company. She is a cool girl. The rear end has not fallen off the car, the bolt that holds the rear trailing arm on was not locked into place and worked its way out. The car got squirmy at 65 mph, but it only took finding a new bolt and thrust washers. THe bent lines were kinda my fault i guess... i thought the mechanism to open the heater flaps was frozen so i put a wrench on it. turned it one way and bent the brake line, spun it the opposite direction and could hear the mechanism arcing as it sliced through my 12 volt cable. I have devised a way that ALL lines will never impede the operation of that lever. both could have resulted in bad things happening. Its mine now... and we have a hell of a history together. "shoulda" and "coulda" have been removed from my vocabulary.

Jim - glad to see you were able to hold onto yours. Sorry we arent going to get to hang out at Carlisle this year.
