Some may recall that I was perplexed about how to hang the doors on my Kitman Speedster.  I still am.  I let the Speedster project go fallow for a bit while I finished the restoration of a 72 VW Tintop Camper I agreed to buy from a local.  But I was back at it in earnest today.

By elongating the holes in the door I got the front of the door to line up pretty well with nice gaps.  Sadly the lower rear of the door was at least 3/4" out from the body, and there didn't seem to be any way to correct the lower rear without screwing up the front.   After wrestling with it for a while, I pulled it off, and then decided I may have installed the Honda door hinges improperly.  I have attached a picture, and am wondering if the hinges are not only upside down (top to bottom), but also backwards.  Looking at it now it might make more sense for the hinge presently on the top to be on the bottom with the long part against the door.

Thoughts?

One more item:  with the hinges as shown, the door only opens about 45 degrees...

Thanks in advance.

Dave
