The body has tunneled '53 Buick tail lamps, split late 30's Buick rear window(s) sunken number plate, and those kind of 50's custom touches.
An odd combination of super rare Pre-A original bits and custom touches strangly all mounted on a shortened VW chassis at some point later in it's "life."
The VW pan is a 1968 with disc fronts, drum rears. Pro Street trans, and short axles. There is a stock engine in it now, but I have a fresh/never run 1835 with straight cut gears, FK8 cam, Pauter 4:1 ratio rockers, non-merged/individual pulse exhaust header, Melling high volume pump, chrome moly push rods, mag 44 heads, big valves, ported, high rev springs, titanium retainers, German 009, Pertronix Ignition Module, Flame Thrower coil, German Bosch wires, Santana degree pulley, brand new AJ Sims Kadrons, Scat linkage. All of the good stuff and a lot of other little details and such.
Looking for $10,000 OBO. It's an odd combination of original 356 and aftermarket with a TON of potential. The car is titled as a 1955 356 Porsche with all of the matching VIN tags and plates, and the partial VIN on everything from the body panels to the back of the dash board, from the small aluminum interior shims to the back of the passenger's side door jam reinforcing gusset. Totally correct. The title is in my name, the car is currently registered and insured and can be driven if you're brave enough to try driving an unfinished "project."
Anyone feeling brave? Thought that I'd offer it to you guys before placing it on Ebay or TheSamba. I took some pics this morning, can email them if you like, but unless you've had some experience, this is a close up and personal kind of purchase.
Thanks !
