I have a question. Is it better to buy a Speedster in the Summer (when most are out driving theirs) or the Fall (when they doing want to house them in the full garage)? Trying to buy my first but not sure if I should continue to look or wait till fall. Thanks for any advise!!

My husband actually is on his way back from one in Missouri (we live in Maryland) that was supposed to be all that and a bag of chips and was located at a shop that renovates 356's. Well, there was a reason there were no pics of the undercarriage and basically it was NOT even close to what was advertised. An expensive and time consuming lesson learned.....NEVER buy without someone looking at it! Thanks for all the advise and the more the better!
It looks like you just joined the SOC on 7/14. You might want to hang out for a little longer before you make your move. There is a lot to learn about these cars and it will be time well spent.
I'd say Fall to dead of winter (at least on east coast or the great white north) --- however, I am really expecting a big up swing in the US economy come 7 November 2012.
