I think they look pretty sweet, I would ride one of those before a Harley.
You could do a whole line of these scooters using art deco style fenders from back in the day. Think about the lines on the older Studebakers, the Lincoln Zephyr, 36' Ford Custom, 26' Ford Coupe, 39' Buick Century, 26' Buick Series 40, 37' Buick Special, 38' Olds Coupe, 33' Olds Eight, 34' Olds, Custom, 37' Olds Coupe, or the lines of the Delahaye etc. The creative possibilities are endless.
You could even do a Fender guitar model...
The fender mini bike is a popular topic on other VW sights...easy to flash a fiberglass mold of a completed custom fender and whomever could sell it as a sorta kit.
