This will NOT buff out

Certainly there is an easy answer, since I am easily confused, how does my Mercedes SL,  without a B pillar address the 3 point seat belt on it's design?

@Art  It's a much taller b-pillar that is above your shoulder height and the structure of the b-pillar is specifically designed as an attachment point.

@chines1@@Tom Blankinship thank to both. I see the challenge. I was looking at the shoulder bracket I saw in the link you provided. Looking at a good location to bolt the shoulder seat belts in the tub with this system without doing a roll bar. 

Some manufactures integrate the belt into the seat, e.g. a Chrysler Sebring.

My IM Conv D seat had shoulder belt integrated into seat with reel located behind the seat bolted to frame.  It was actually pretty comfortable.  And also had head cushion to prevent whiplash.  Obviously most of us have speedster/spyder GT seat.  I guess folks who want a shoulder strap could put Conv D seats in their speedsters.  Lots of IM owners do this.

I do not pics of reel behind seat. But it mounts just below the rear seat pad. There is a cut out in the rear of the seat to make room for reel.

I forget how pretty that car was  

@550 Phil I have similar seat. I need to figure out a good mounting point below.  It sounds like the reel is built in the seat. 

The reel is mounted behind the seat, bolted to space frame under rear seat.  Anyone have a Conv D who could supply pictures??
