The throtle cable and sheath assembley in my Beck has seen better
days, as it had formed a WARM and not too lasting relationship with
the exhaust system.

I have a longer replacement unit in bound from C.B. perf., but
I need to remove the original sheath from the car. I found the front
guide at the pedal end, but there seems to be other restraints in the
tunnel.

If anyone has done this job........HELP..PLEASE!!!!!!

Any and all recomendations, and information will be greatly appreciated.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.....

The center fiberglass tunnel is located inside the car. If I remember correctly, there are a few screws in the side of the fiberglass cover. Look for them and then remove the fiberglass and you'll see a plastic fuel line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine, a clutch cable and a a throttle cable.

Start by moving the carpet and you should see the screws that hold the cover in place.
FYI, my tunnel is not removable. It's an early Beck, #67, with a steel tunnel in the fron section, which is probably where it's being held up (probably the clutch cable.

I'd remove the pedal cluster, tie a string to the throttle cable and then pull the POS out.

An option (and a better solution in the log run) is install a Morse cable running it along the top of the tunnel.
L. Jowdy....
Your memory serves you well. I pulled the seats and discovered the two screws holding the cover in place. Total time 30 min.

It always looks like a bigger problem when it's the first time in.

Beck realy loves masking tape, as this was the sole means of cable restraint. This car was assembled in the 2002 move to Texas. I hope that this is the last debug I have to perform.

Many, many thanks........

I'll follow up on the instalation.

Well the cable from CB Perf. wasn't flexible enough, But CB Perf.
put me onto Beck Speedster. These kind folk had a replacement cable
on the shelf. Nice people.

The original cable was 6mm od. The new cable is .25in. That .010in.
difference almost drove me insane. The cross brace under your knees
had a hole some what smaller than the new cable. I had to drill a
.500in. hole inthe top of the steel tunnel cover just in front of the
hole provided for the cable and then carefuly open it's dia. with a file.

Anyway the cable is in, properly routed, and functioning like a dream.

Thanks agin for your assistance.
