I have a Solex 34 PICT 3 Carburetor on my 1600 cc VW Beetle Motor. I installed a 12V Alternator Upgrade and the carburetor throttle linkage on the right side is interfering with the new Alternator.

Any suggestions on how to correct. It appears the carburetor is too low on the Intake Manifold and therfore is hitting the alternator with the trottle linkage on the carburetor.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Brian

NOW that makes me mad, The one I had was for a 34 pict. Thats what I hate about aftermarkit parts, theyed sell you soaped poop, if they could get away with it.

I am going to check with freind, and see if he may have one, He is a vw parts and service man from back in the 60s with a stockpile of some factory parts. he may have one i am also going to tare down the house to see if I can find that carb that has one on it.

Also contact the vender and see if he can exchange ,that stinky for the larger one and specify a 34 pict size.I know this was a common part and used to correct this abnormality, when people upgraded to alternaters, at one time I had 3 laying around.
